One day Milton Caniff, creator of the popular comic strip, “Steve Canyon” is sketching a character to be a symbol for Goodwill Industries.
“This is a friendly looking fellow. Looks like he might want to help others. But if he stands for Goodwill Industries, he ought to be handicapped himself!”
