The President,
Washington, D.C.

3

Dear Mr. Roosevelt:

4

In case Mr. Toombs has not already discovered it, may I point out that his drawing of the Duchess Hill cottage in the New York Times of today shows the bathroom window opening on the Terrace.

5

Act II. Scene I: The Duchess Hill cottage.
Time: A summer evening; breathless quiet.
Folks: Three notables from Europe.
Doing: Conferring.

6

Shall Mr. Toombs not allow for the attendant ratiocination to be undisturbed by the flush of water?

7

Friendly yours,
Alfred Pratt
