JOHN LAMBOUR checked in with the Toomey Parole Board and he reimpressed everyone with his determination. He seems to be doing well in his own job, talks of increasing his working hours from four to six, and thinking of possibilities of an electric wheelchair to travel the miles of hallway at his place of business.

30

We hear from a beautiful blonde volunteer at Crile that DICK MILLER is not using any aid at all and is doing real well. Dick has the distinct pleasure of being in the same room as BURT BACON.

ALBERT KEHOE is at Fenn College taking Business Administration. Recently he missed being on the Dean's list by such a tiny fraction that he received a letter from the Dean complimenting him on his excellent work. He and his brother are hard at work now planting and transplanting their flowers and vegetables and have big plans for a summer business.

33

Barnesie (our Junior Volunteer) received a nice long letter from her good friend, BUD DABBY. He said life was different for him than it was before he came to Toomey -- a lot better. His address: 8354 Edgedale Road, Baltimore 4, Maryland. He said that he and BOB FISHER have several reunions and that Bob is getting along very well. Incidentally, Bob's houseful of tropical fish suffered no pain while he was undergoing thumb surgery at Toomey.

Where are three lovely occupants of the Nursery these days -- Lorenzo, David and Corinne.

38

Early in December, lovely ROBBIE POLLOCK, HER books, periodicals, records, etc., etc. returned to her home at 207 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa. The entourage of doctors, therapists, nurses, equipment engineersm which accompanied Robbie was truly remarkable, and must have swollen the population of her hometown tremendously. We understand she has acquired a lovely French poodle.

39

RITA FORD has been in the Rehabilitation Hospital at West Haverstraw, N.Y. for several months. We understand she is home now and all the family are well and happy.

BILL WOOD is doing fine, and is working several hours a day in the Legal Department of the Main Office, Central National Bank.

JULIA LUDWIG is now going home weekend except for the period when her three children "enjoyed" three cases of measles. Her devoted husband makes three or four trips a week to Toomey to see her. Chief attraction of the neighborhood is Julia's rocking bed, which has been tried out by many of the neighbors.
