The Baseball Game of the Season at Warm Springs

2

On Thursday, June 23rd, a match took place between the physios and the patients at baseball. The patients were for the most part in wheel chairs, and to offset this the physios consented to tie their own ankles together and to go upon crutches.

3

There was endless speculation as to the probable result, and a large turnout to see the game, which, in the end, was not uneven. The patients had a slight natural superiority in being more familiar with the ways of crutches and wheel chairs, but the result, 4-0, in their favor, was a surprise.

4

As the reward of a hard fought match the losers took the winners en masse to the movies.
