The Rehabilitation Group is now faced with the second phase of its program. When the group was started, it was, of course, necessary first to accumulate as much information as possible on this subject. While the material on hand is by no means complete, there is more than enough to be put to some use.

2

The best way to put this Group into actual service is to advertise the information at hand. We feel, therefore, that a brief resume of the contents of our Rehabilitation files will be in order.

3

Undoubtedly the most helpful body of material in the files is an accumulation of letters and pamphlets from most of the 44 states at present ready to give rehabilitation service. This enables our Group to give advice and assistance to crippled people from every part of the country.

4

Some time ago a number of letters were sent out to alumni who have apparently solved their personal rehabilitation problems. Most of their letters were answered and are in our files. We are sure that someone could find in these letters many helpful suggestions.

5

And lastly, a good deal of information has been obtained concerning extension courses. The information is at the disposal of anyone who wishes to use it. At present a good many patients at the Foundation are educating themselves through the facilities of institutions offering this type of course, and the Group will gladly advise anyone else, either here or at home, interested in this line.

6

Many people, because they can afford any type of education, for which they happen to feel themselves fitted, do not realize the value of rehabilitation service. Physically handicapped persons all over the country have been greatly benefited merely by advice given. We sincerely hope that some day our Group will be able to help a great many people in finding and following some suitable occupation.
