The workshop for adults, which the institution carries on, in spite of the year's absence of Mr. Howard, its long-time able manager, has pursued its usual course, having given continuous employment at living wages to an average of 18 blind men and women. The impetus previously given to the business of the shop by Mr. Howard, supplemented by the care of his present substitute and of his capable assistants, both at the shop and at the salesroom, has again enabled this rather unique beneficial enterprise to conduct its business satisfactorily. For the past twelve months its blind operatives were paid wages amounting to $6,872.58.
